Kalonji

Kalonji is also known as black cumin which is an annual flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae, native to eastern Europe  and western Asia , but naturalized over a much wider area, including parts of Europe, northern Africa and east to Myanmar.

This seeds grows to 20–30 cm tall, with finely divided, linear  leaves. The flowers are delicate, and usually coloured pale blue and white  and produces a fruit with seeds that are used as a flavorful spice in many cuisines. Kalonji seeds are a powerhouse of crude fibers, amino acids, iron, sodium, calcium, and potassium. Kalonji is also rich in vitamins that include – Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin B12, Niacin, and Vitamin C. Kalonji oil is much better than other oil as it contains essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.
